Biography 

Tim is our Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes and Professor of Paediatrics at University of Birmingham. 

Tim trained to look after children with general paediatric and hormone problems, such as diabetes, growth, puberty, thyroid and pituitary issues. 

He originally trained in The London Hospital Medical College, then had further training at Great Ormond Street Hospital, other hospitals in London and Exeter, then Birmingham Children's Hospital. Tim completed a PhD in rare childhood diabetes with University of Birmingham. 

Tim now has a busy clinical practice in general and specialist endocrinology, and general and rare diabetes. He also leads a research team at University of Birmingham trying to find new treatments for rare diabetes.
