Mr Max Pachl

Consultant Paediatric Surgeon

Mr Pachl is a consultant paediatric surgeon with specialist interests in minimally invasive surgery especially neonatal and oncology surgery, simulation and vascular access.

Mr Pachl graduated in medicine at the University of Manchester in 2001. He undertook higher paediatric surgery training in 2007 in Sheffield and subsequently Birmingham and Bristol children’s hospitals. In 2013 he undertook a 12-month fellowship in minimal access (keyhole) surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital where he obtained expert skills in paediatric and neonatal laparoscopy and thoracoscopy.

He is one of only two surgeons in England undertaking keyhole surgery for paediatric renal (kidney) cancers and has the largest personal series to date.
